Dolce/SchoolGrid

Our school meals are now provided by Dolce and the new ordering system is online and is accessed via SchoolGrid at this web address: https://app.schoolgrid.co.uk/login

You will have been emailed your login details by SchoolGrid; if you do not have a login, please email info@wordsworthprimary.co.uk and request one.

All menus are available to view via your account, and you can place your child's orders up to a week in advance, as well as the nutritional details and allergens.  All payments are received by Dolce now too, not the school anymore.  You are able to set up a Direct Debit, which is taken in arrears or you can pay by debit card via your online account.

Family Hubs

This is a rolling programme and will run through the summer Holidays.

If you have any queries don’t hesitate to make contact with us at; familyhub@southampton.gov.uk

The Nature Zone

We are fortunate to have some wonderful outdoor spaces at Wordsworth Primary.  Listen to our children explain the wonders of the Nature Zone and how it helps us to explore the outdoor environment.

Summer Transition 2025

Stay and Plays 1 & 2 are smaller groups.

Date Activity
Monday 16th June 2025 Stay and Play Session 1

We would like parents to stay to this session as we find it helps the children to settle in more if they can see their parents with them in their new school environment.

Children will meet some members of their class and be with their class teacher for the morning. Timings will either be 9.15am - 10.15am or 10.30am - 11.30am.
Monday 23rd June 2025 Stay and Play Session 2

We would like to give the parents an option to stay again to this session if they wish, but aren't expected to.

Children will be with some members of their class again and be with their class teacher for the morning. Timings will either be 9.15am - 10.15am or 10.30am - 11.30am.
Wednesday 2nd July 2025 Transition Day

9.30am - 11.30am Children only. We would like to encourage the children to stay independently to this session. The parents/carers will then be able to meet the wider staff in our community, including Shirley Library, Governors and Dolce, as well as have a coffee in the Gallery.

Home Visits

Home visits will be carried out on Thursday 4th or Friday 5th of September. Your class teacher will be in touch with you before the end of the summer term to give you your date and time. These short visits are a lovely opportunity for our teachers to meet your children in their own environment and to talk to you in more detail about your child and any individual needs they have.

Half Day

To further help the children get used to starting school and their new routine, new Year R's will attend for half a day on:

  • Monday 8th September for morning and lunch (9am - 12.45pm).

The children can choose a school dinner or bring in a packed lunch from home.  Parents are invited to please attend lunchtime to support their child with their first lunch session.

Full Day

  • Tuesday 9th September 8.40am - 3.10pm normal school day.

Everyone in Year R will start today. Parents/carers can bring their child into the Year R       garden and to the door where the teacher will greet you and your child.
