Our children are having a wonderful time on their Residential. They have been completing their farm duties, have taken part in Falconry display and enjoyed their hot chocolate. Below are some photos..
Avon Tyrrell Residential
Some of our Year 6 children are on the Avon Tyrrell Residential for this week.
There are groups of children doing their own rotational activities throughout the stay. The activities include: Archery, Bottle Rockets, High Ropes, Mountain Biking, Campfire, Night Walk, Orienteering, Shelter Building, Tree Top Trail, Challenge Course, Disco
Easter Live!
Our Year 5 children visited St James’ by the Park Church, and took part in ‘Easter Story Live!’. The Easter experience was a collaborative storytelling event that allowed the children to experience the Christian story of Easter unfolding around them.
Home Farm 2025
We have had a great first day of our trip! We are all settled into to our dorms, visited Beaulieu Motor Museum, had a delicious dinner and a campfire!

World Book Day
A few of our children wanted their photo taken with Mrs G, who works with the children with their EAL work. The children wanted to show off their Romanian and Pakistani cultural clothes.
Mrs G is wearing sunflowers on her dress. One of the embroidered motifs on Romanian blouses and dresses is the solar motif which can represented as the sun or the sunflower.
It is an ancestral symbol that speaks of divinity, the warmth of the sun, which gives life and generates abundance, as well as the cycle of life.
Year 4 Egyptian Day
The Year 4 children had an excellent day on Friday 28th February for their Ancient Egyptian topic. They came to school dressed as Ancient Egyptians and completed a variety of activities, such as making pyramids, learning to write their names in hieroglyphics, designing canopic jars and mummifying each other.
It was such a good day and we are really excited to learn more about the Egyptians!
Year R World Book Day
Year R flew to Guyana and read the book 'Faruq and the Wiri Wiri' about a boy who loves to cook! We made Guyanese lime cookies - they were delicious!
We also used our cutting skills to make Wiri Wiri trees for our classrooms.
